Haruma is seven years old and in second grade at Mango Tree School. Her father died and when her mother remarried her new husband would not accept Haruma and provide for her. Her mother had three additional children before she passed away a year and a half ago. The father would not care for any of the children and they were living in desperate conditions. Their grandmother took them in but was no longer able to provide for them either. She asked CCC to take the children and give them the care she was unable to provide. After clearing through the government social agency, the four children were given a new home at CCC. They say the children can now smile and have hope for the future!
