Sixty young people from four churches in northern Thailand were privileged to participate in youth camp in Samoeng village. Reverend Wanchai Supuwas who pastors the Samoeng church was the director of the camp. The camp included Bible Studies in the morning and afternoon sessions and revival meetings each evening. There was also time for games, relaxation and fellowship. Twelve of the campers accepted Christ and were baptized.
In addition to the regular camp activities, 13 church leaders attended training classes and are eager for future training sessions. Reverend Wanchai explained that the purpose of these classes is to develop more leaders who will carry on the pastoral work since most of the churches have no pastors.
Global Outreach began supporting Reverend Wanchai in 1986 and provided the funding for Samoeng Girls Home which has thirteen girls this year. The Samoeng Church is on the same campus as the girls home. It is a joy to know that your contributions allow Global Outreach to continue to invest in these young people’s lives in Thailand.
