Summer is over and the orphan children supported by Global Outreach are back in school. In India, before the children can begin the school term, it is necessary to purchase workbooks, notebooks, math books, and assorted practice and exercise books as well as pens, pencils, and other school supplies for the entire school year. Each year this is a large expense for the Feed My People Orphanages. Once again, your gifts have helped to supply this need for the 258 orphans in the seven orphanages.
In addition to the school supplies for the children, the teenagers who are attending vocational school also require school supplies. Last year there were 164 teenagers in this program. 61 of them have graduated and I do not yet have the current number of teenage girls attending medical training for the new school year.
Education, made possible through your gifts, provides a bright future for these children many of whom had never before attended school. Thank you for your faithful and generous support.
